Hi! I’m Rachel.
I’m a licensed therapist and certified coach with over 20 years of experience. I believe we all have incredible capacity for growth and change - if we have the right environment to reach our full potential.
My goal is to provide a mix of supportive space, helpful information, and meaningful encouragement to help you build the life you truly want.
I’m trained in the International Coaching Federation approach, which is client-led, goal-focused, and strengths-based. Coaching is action oriented and designed to support clients in overcoming barriers.
My approach is warm and genuine, using humor to balance out the hard moments. I’m a human first, so I always aim to let that shine through.

Who are my clients?
Wondering if mental health coaching might be for you? Here are some examples of clients I might support.
My relationships are suffering because of depression. I care so much about my friends and family, but can’t seem to drag myself out of the daze I’m in. I wish I knew how to show up differently, but I just don’t.
I want to advance my career but my anxiety is constantly getting in the way. I freeze up during important meetings, fumble when talking with my boss, and procrastinate on the most important parts of my work.
I don’t like myself. I try to build self confidence and grow, but the traumas of my past always seem to hold me back. I don’t know how to respond differently to my life experiences, this is all I’ve ever known.
So how do I help?
A big part of what keeps people stuck when they’re experiencing mental health symptoms is that they struggle to change their patterns. And often, small tweaks are enough to shake things up.
A client with depression might focus on all the ways a social interaction went poorly - so we can work on tracking and focusing on successes.
A client with anxiety might normally ruminate and worry leading up to a big meeting - so we can work on implementing grounding techniques instead.
A client with a history of trauma tends to shut down when things feel overwhelming - so we can work on facing hard things little by little over time.
What makes this different from therapy?
Not past focused.
We don’t have to process the past in order to make meaningful changes in the present. While therapy tends to look back, coaching focused more on today and tomorrow.
Not treating symptoms.
We’re less focused on the symptoms themselves and more focused on how they impact the decisions you make every day. We prioritize making tangible changes in your daily life.
No diagnosing.
As a therapist, I assess clients and diagnose them. Sometimes clients meet criteria, sometimes they don't.
Coaching doesn’t care whether you meet 5 out of 9 symptoms for depression - coaching just honors your experience of feeling depressed, and helps you work to overcome the barriers this creates.
